Outfit: A Summer Wedding in Upstate New York

Hurray for a first "outfit" post! I've been putting it off because I'm a bit shy when it comes to taking pictures. However, I decided today shall be the day I conquer my (digital) fears and share the outfit I recently wore to a wedding in upstate New York. After all, this is a blog that is partly fashion-centric and isn't it always a good thing to conquer your fears?

I bought this dress a while ago in the spring because it was on promotion. I was drawn to it because it had a more unique peplum design that was almost like petals on a flower. To continue the curved shape of the peplum petals, I paired it with a BCBG belt as well as a clutch that both had the same curvy-petal like shape. I always like to add an unexpected element whenever I can to an outfit, so for the shoes I went with black suede heels embellished with spikes.

Items Worn
Dress - ASOS Frill Peplum Dress (available in petite too!)
Necklace - BaubleBar Monarch Wing Necklace (past season) (similar option also from BaubleBar here)
Belt - BCBG (old, similar from Asos in brown here)
Shoes - Sam Edelman Roza Heels (past season) (similar heels here)

*Note: I wasn't planning to make this my first outfit post on the blog, hence I didn't take that many photos of my outfit as a whole. Stay tuned for better photos in the future, especially when the weather here in NYC gets cooler! I'm going to make it a personal goal of mine to be less shy in front of the camera!
