Beauty Discourse: Brush Series II

MAC 217 Brush
While my just-washed brushes lay drying in the window sill, I'm writing the second post in the brush series. The brushes in this post will range from the $20-$50 range. Unlike the choices from the drugstore brands, the brushes in the $20-$50 price point do offer brushes with natural bristles. If you're just starting to get into makeup brushes and want to put a little more money into your starter collection, I highly recommend checking out brushes in this category!

I personally have the most brushes from this price point as I find that I have many different brands to choose from, options ranging from synthetic hairs to natural hairs, and there are many more specialized brushes made for specific tasks. Although I put the price cut-off at $50, most brushes in this price point don't even break $40. Instead, they average mostly around the $25-$30 range. You definitely do not have a lack of choices from this price point. If you're looking to go one place to get all of your brushes, I recommend going to Sephora and checking out their in-house brush brand. They have an entire wall of brushes to choose from! With prices averaging $30 per brush, they're affordable for the quality they'll provide you. Some of my Sephora brushes I've had for over 4 years. See below for some of my favorite brush picks from this price point!
