Home Discourse: My Current Home Decor Wishlist

As stressful as it's become in my boyfriend's and my hunt for a new apartment, I'm still trying to be optimistic by repeatedly telling myself, "Good things come to those who wait." I've been biding my time by waiting to buy new furniture until we find our new place and have been bookmarking furniture pieces that (if they work with the new space) I would be purchasing. As you can tell from the photo above, I tend to love gold, marble, and bold accessories.

1. CB2 Suspend Console: This is my dream media console. It has all the design elements that I love - wood panels placed in a chevron pattern, a real Carrara marble marble countertop, all perched on iron legs.

2. West Elm Herringbone Chenille Rug: No matter how many rugs I've browsed online or in stores, my heart always comes back to this rug. It has just enough pattern to make it stand out, but the color is neutral so it doesn't take your eyes away from other items in a room. Plus, it's in a neutral color so it matches practically everything and anything.

3. Agate Artwork: I imagine hanging this artwork in a dining room or over an office desk against a dark colored wall - I'm thinking navy would be a gorgeous color that would make this artwork really pop.

4. Diptyque Large Complete Twist Photophore: Ever since purchasing my first Baies candle, I've fallen more and more in love with Diptyque's candles. I've made a promise to myself to not purchase a photophore until I've moved into my new place and have a proper place that'll show off both the photophore and the Diptyque candle inside.

5. CB2 Acrylic Folding Table: I happened upon this folding table when I was looking at the Suspend console. It's such a versatile piece! Use it as a makeshift table, end table, or petite standing bar! Plus, it's perfect even for small spaces since it just folds up and is easily tucked away.

6. Black & White Paint Stroke Pillow Cover: I love to have statement pillow covers in a space since it's easy to switch them out if you ever get tired of the pattern. This black paint stroke pattern is bold, and would look amazing on any colored couch.

7. West Elm Art Deco Marble & Gold Barware: I've been searching everywhere for gold barware, it's actually really hard to find ones that are affordable! Not only does this set come with 4 tools, but it also displays beautifully with its white marble base.
