Product Review: Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack in Virgin Red

Today's product review is a lip product that is unique and a first for me! Berrisom's lip tint pack is a tinted lip product that, get this, you peel off your lips. I usually don't really use lip tints all that often, I find that most of them are drying and accentuate the wrinkles in your lips, however this product was so interesting that I just had to try it! The product states that it's supposed to last a whopping 12 hours per application. Click through to read my review and to see how long it lasted on my lips!

water, polyvinyl alcohol, alcohol 1, 2-hexandediol, citric acid, sodium citrate butylene glycol, pentylene clycol, carica papaya fruit extract, honey extract, rosa damascena flower water, royal jelly extract, prunus persica (peach) fruit water, vaccinium augustifolium (blueberry) fruit extract, punica granatum fruit extract, aloe bardaensis leaf juice, prunus avium (cherry) fruit extract, citrus arantium dulcis (orange) fruit extract, hyrolyzed collagen, CI 45410:1 allantoin, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, sodium hyaluronate.

As you can see from the photo above, the texture of the lip tint is this gooey viscous thick gel. When I first opened it, a lot of product came flowing out so be careful when you first open this product. I would recommend only opening it when you're actually going to be using it or else you might risk losing a bit of product. The lip tint smells like raspberry, but not overwhelmingly so. In terms of application, it can be tricky.

I highly recommend exfoliating your lips and applying a lip balm before you apply the lip tint. The first time I applied it over my lips didn't go so well - it was hard to smooth out evenly and I couldn't get a clean line. It's also very sticky so you have to use some pressure to maneuver the product to the corners and the outer lip line. I got the hang of it the second time I applied it however and knew how much product to apply. When it's on your lips, the product is really glossy and vivid.

After around 7-10 minutes you feel it "rubberizing" over your lips - it sort of feels exactly like a peeling mask but on your lips. Peeling off the tint isn't painful, but you have to be careful not to peel too fast because then you get left with small flakes of the product in the inner lips and then it doesn't look even. The lip tint tastes terrible, like sour fruits, which isn't surprising given how much fruit water extracts are in the product. Thankfully the taste doesn't last and disappears if you apply some balm on top. In terms of lasting power, it lasted a good 5-6 hours on me before it started really disappearing. However, if I ate food it only lasted 2-3 hours which was disappointing.

Concluding Remarks

Berrisom's lip tint pack is really fun to use and a good buy if you love lip tints. It's a good lip tint for those of you who don't want to be constantly be worrying about reapplying your lip product. It does require some preparation time however since it takes around 7-10 minutes to set on your lips. I wouldn't recommend this lip tint for those of you with sensitive lips. I found that it did slightly make my lips tingle similar to the feeling if you ate a citrus fruit and had sensitive lips.
