Six Transitional Pieces From Summer to Fall

First off, my apologies for last week and this week's erratic posting schedule! I've been so busy on with work and other personal activities on the weekend that I've fallen behind on my posts! Please expect posts to go back to a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday posting schedule starting next week. It's finally mid-September and I seriously hope all the hot and humid weather is now behind us. I'm super antsy to start wearing my leather jackets, sweaters, and boots. I'm fully aware that my personal summer "style" isn't so much a style as it is a struggle to keep myself from sweating up a flood in the NYC humidity. I feel personally that my personal style really comes out when the weather starts getting cooler. However, the transitional period between hot hot summer and crisp fall can be a struggle. Click through for six pieces that I think can carry any wardrobe from summer to fall.

1. Camel Trench Coat - The trench coat is a fall classic and when I see them finally being worn, I know that fall has officially arrived! This particular one is even made with water repellent fabric.

2. Tortoise Mirrored Lens Sunglasses - Thankfully there is still plenty of sun during the fall. I absolutely love these tortoise mirrored frame sunglasses from Illesteva. The mirrored lenses evoke the more flashy and playful sunglasses that are frequently worn in the summer.

3. Van Slip Ons - Not quite ready to wear socks yet but it's still a bit too chilly to be wearing your sandals? Look no more, slip ons are the perfect transitional shoe from summer to fall.

4. Boyfriend Jeans - Yes, unfortunately we now have to put away our denim cut offs for actual pants now. I personally am still loving the ripped boyfriend cut for jeans. If you choose a ripped version, at least some part of your legs are still exposed!

5. Striped Tee - A striped tee, boyfriend jeans, and slip ons, add on the trench coat if it's going to be a chilly night - there's a formula for the perfect fall outfit.

6. Sleeveless Blazer or Gilet - Is it still too warm to wear a trench? Throw a gilet over your tee instead. This burgundy one is particularly appropriate for fall.
