Beauty Discourse - New Skincare Buys & Gearing Up My Skin for Winter

Despite the abnormally warm 70 degree weather NYC had last week, I've bought some new more heavy duty products to help my skin brave the cold winter. Plus, I've already finished my summer/fall moisturizer, a serum, and a cleansing oil (consider this a preview of a future empties post!). I also have my eye on a couple things during the Sephora 20% off sale that's going to start next week, but in the meantime, check out what's new on my beauty shelf.

Kiehls Super Multi Corrective Cream
I'm totally in love with this moisturizer (full review here). It's highly hydrating and you see results in a very short amount of time. I currently use this nightly since it's a bit too rich for my skin in the day time, but as the months get colder I may be able to use it during the day as well.

Origins Night-a-Mins Cream
I got this deluxe sample (1oz) from the Origins 500 point perk at Sephora. It has always been on my list to try, so I was ecstatic when I was able to get a whopping 1oz jar by using my points. It smells like citrus and has a gel-cream like texture. Although it's marketed as a night cream, it's not so rich that it can't be used during the day.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
I recently just finished up my Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil and I already knew DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil was on my list to try next. I use cleansing oils to take off my makeup in the colder months because it doesn't strip away the oils on the surface of your skin.

Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment
I've been using this for a while now, and it's been on the top of my favorites list for a while which is why it's already half empty! It's such a great eye cream and it doesn't irritate my eyes. The skin around my eye area just drinks it all up, and I love how my skin looks more hydrated, plump, and softer. Plus, it's only $28 which I think is an absolute steal.

Pixi Glow Tonic
I've only been using this nightly for about a week now but I absolutely love it!! No wonder it's a cult favorite. It really does make your skin glow. It doesn't sting at all, but I can tell it's doing something because my dry patches are minimized, and I can tell my moisturizer has been absorbing better when I exfoliate with this beforehand. Individual review to come soon!

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm
Another cult favorite, it smells heavenly like lemons and honey. I use this nightly on my lips before going to bed, and I enjoy making it a part of my nightly ritual.
