Product Review: Pixi Glow Tonic

Glow Tonic by Pixi has been on my beauty wishlist for forever but this concoction has just recently made it's way stateside from our neighbors across the big pond in England. I've watched loads of videos of people just raving about Glow Tonic so I knew when it was finally available at Target I definitely was going to snatch a bottle up. I'm so glad I did and it's definitely not over-hyped!

Pixi Glow Tonic, 3.4oz
Price: $15

This exfoliating toner helps to brighten the complexion resulting in a healthy glow. Formulated with 5% glycolic acid, Glow Tonic exfoliates, brightens and smoothes the skintone and texture. Aloe vera, ginseng, and botanical extracts work together to nourish and treat your skin revealing an improved complexion. Alcohol-free and gentle on all skin types.

Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Glycolic Acid, Ammonium Glycolate, Glycerin, Glucose, Fructose, Sucrose, Urea, Dextrin, Alanine, Glutamic Acid, Hexyl Nicotinate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Biotin, Polysorbate 20, Fragrance.

It is no wonder that this stuff got such rave reviews, it totally does do what it claims to do - gently exfoliate your skin. Personally, my skin reacts very well to alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) which includes glycolic acid. It smells sort of baby powder scent to it which actually doesn't smell too bad. I use it nightly and dab around a quarter sized amount of tonic onto a cotton pad. When I'm swiping it over my face, it doesn't sting at all, but rather is instantly gives your skin that sort of "glow." The glow I'm talking about looks different from when you just put water over your face! After around 2 weeks of using it nightly, my skin feels noticeably smoother. My only con about it is that it comes in such a small size! I definitely need the bigger bottle in my life.

Concluding Remarks

I'm so happy that Glow Tonic is available in Target. It does wonders for my skin, and it's earned a permanent space on my beauty shelf. For $15, it's a wonderful buy and great for those with sensitive acne prone skin because it's such a gentle exfoliator. It's available at Target online and in stores. I definitely recommend going out and grabbing a bottle!
