Currently Loving - Diptyque Rosaviola Candle

I always look forward to any limited edition candles that Diptyque releases, but I'm very picky in which ones I actually purchase! At first glance, I wasn't very interested in Rosaviola, but then I read the candle was a combination of primarily rose & violet and that got me hooked since Violette is probably my favorite candle by Diptyque. It's a lovely candle with a unique and sophisticated scent that I have come to associate with Diptyque candles.

The candle is housed in a frosted cotton candy pink glass and the wax is white. Diptyque made the candle in collaboration with French designer Olympia Le-Tan for Valentine's Day. As you can see, the famous Diptyque medallion is in a fabric material along with a cheeky lip icon on the side. The scent is sweet and floral from the roses, slightly powdery from the violet, but there is a sharp kick from the leather notes. To me, it smells like a boudoir - in the room there are perfume bottles, red rouge lipstick, flowers from the local farmer's market, but there is also a well lived in leather chair. It's the perfect floral, powdery, but not too sweet scent. It's definitely not as sweet as Baies, but also not as floral as the Roses candle. If you like Diptyque's Roses and Violette candle, you will definitely want to check out this candle! Not a fan of candles? No problem, the scent also comes in a scented oval and a solid perfume.
