Product Review: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

The Deep Cleansing Oil from DHC is so popular that the company claims a bottle is sold around the world every 10 seconds. While the bottle may look like nothing special, it houses a very amazing cleansing oil - the best I've tried! If you've already read my post last week on my 2015 Beauty Favorites, you're already going to know that I absolutely love this cleansing oil. In addition, one lucky reader can win a full bottle of the Deep Cleansing Oil (in addition to some of my other 2015 beauty favorites) by entering my giveaway here! But if you're still curious about the full review of the product, read on ahead!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, 6.7oz
Price: $28

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil makeup remover completely dissolves all traces of dirt and cosmetics—even waterproof mascara and eyeliner—while nourishing your complexion with antioxidant-rich olive oil. Using dry hands, massage it onto your dry face, and it immediately goes to work. Add water and it transforms to a milky, vitamin-rich emulsion that rinses clean, leaving your skin feeling soft and nurtured; never dry or greasy. One try and you’ll understand why it’s the ultimate cleanser.

olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate, pentylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, tocopherol, stearyl glycyrrhetinate, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil

I've tried around 3 other cleansing oils, and by far the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is the best out of all of them. Since it is an olive oil based cleansing oil, it's actually rather thick and it's the thickest cleansing oil that I've used. It's not a bad thing, and it feels really luxurious on the skin because the texture of the oil is rather thick. I don't really care much for the scent however. Of course since it is composed of primarily olive oil, it does have a slightly olive oil scent but also a medicinal scent. I know many won't be fans of the scent, but it's not enough of a con to write off the product. In terms of removing my makeup, it does a beautiful job of taking off everything including my liquid eyeliner. Unlike the Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil, the Deep Cleansing Oil actually turns into a milky consistency when it comes into contact with water. Lastly, it rinses off cleanly and I don't feel like my skin is left with any residue.

Concluding Remarks

Remember, I'm giving away a full bottle in my giveaway which you can still enter to win here! I know that the DHC Cleansing Oil is rather difficult to find, but it is on Amazon and qualifies for Prime shipping if you have it. For only $28, this is an amazing budget friendly cleansing oil. I highly recommend it, and I would definitely repurchase it when I run out.
