Product Review: Aromatica Rose Absolute First Serum

I first heard of Aromatica when I stumbled upon Peach and Lily's website. It's not widely available here in the US but I was curious to try out the brand. The brand claims that it sources natural and organic ingredients from local suppliers. Their products are vegan, organic, and safe for sensitive skin. One of their most popular products is the Rose Absolute First Serum which is a hybrid between a serum and toner.

Aromatica Rose Absolute First Serum, 3.30z
Price: $39

A highly concentrated boosting serum enriched with bulgarian rosa damascena oil and formulated with 79% organic aloe vera helps to protect and restore balance of the skin.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Propanediol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Betaine, Rosa Damascena Bud Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Panthenol, Phenethyl Alcohol, Sodium Carbomer, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Allantoin, Malva Sylvestris(mallow) Extract, Mentha Piperita(peppermint) Leaf Extract, Primula Veris Extract, Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract, Veronica Officinalis Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Adenosine

The serum smells really lovely and I really like the simple minimalistic packaging of the product. The serum's texture is like a runny thin gel like liquid, but once it hits your skin it starts evaporating. Since it's a hybrid between a serum and a toner, it's not as hydrating as a traditional serum but it also doesn't strip the skin. The first ingredient in the serum is aloe, so if you've ever moisturized with aloe the serum feels a bit like that. Although the serum claims to improve your skin tone, I haven't seen any results to that effect. It hasn't broken me out however and it doesn't sting my skin, but it's definitely more of a spring/summer serum due to the fact that it's not very hydrating.

Concluding Remarks

If you love beauty products infused with rose, you'll want to check out this serum. I only wish that I purchased this serum closer to when the weather got warmer because I think it would be the perfect serum for a spring skincare regime. I've also heard good things about Aromatica's Rose Absolute Vital Cream, but I'm very interested in eventually trying the Lavender Body Oil! Aromatica is available via Peach and Lily.
