New to Me Beauty & a Short Announcement

I'm back from my hiatus! It's been a very eventful holiday season for me. As some of you may know, I am recently engaged! My parents were in town from California, and the next thing I know, wedding planning has gotten into full swing. It's very exciting, but stressful, and unfortunately the blog has to take a back-burner to the wedding planning. This means, my weekends will be dedicated to the wedding and not so much the blog unfortunately. From here on out until my wedding, blog posts won't be as consistent as before. This will be the only post of the week, and it's about new beauty items I've gotten as gifts for Christmas as well as some purchases over the holiday season.

The Body Shop

The Body Shop was having a buy three get three free sale and I picked up some of their beloved body butters (coconut and grapefruit) as well as some skincare and a makeup item I had all been eyeing. The seaweed deep cleansing gel wash is one of those products that has been around forever and that I feel most beauty enthusiasts take for granted because it's rather simple. But sometimes simple is best, and this gel cleanser does get the job done and it doesn't leave my face feeling tight or taught. I've also had the chamomile silky cleansing oil on my radar for a while too since it's an affordable cleansing oil that isn't formulated with mineral oil. Finally, the honey bronzer in shade 1. I don't wear bronzers because no brand ever seems to make a shade light enough for my skin. But, I am a subscriber to Estee Lalonde and she's just as pale if not paler than me and she loves this stuff. She was right too, it's just light enough to make an impact on my pale skin but not enough to make it look like I smeared dirt on my cheeks.

From Cremorlab I got the Fresh Water Gel and a small mineral water spray as presents. Can't wait to use both! Especially the Fresh Water Gel for the spring because it looks really hydrating. It's a huge jar too at 3.3oz which is always welcomed since gel moisturizers tend to be used up faster than a cream one in my experience.

For blushes I got two new ones - the Tata Harper Volumizing Cheek and Lip Tint in Charming, and the most adorable blush ever - Tony Moly's Pikachu blush cushion compact in #2. I've been wearing the Tata Harper pot blush for the past couple weeks now and love the natural flush it gives me. It surprisingly lasts quite a bit too! For the Tony Moly pikachu compact, I just can't bear to use it! It's too adorable with the air puff designed as a pokeball. I'll probably get the courage to use it someday, but for now it's just adorable enough to look at.

Last few bits...

Some last few items are the Tony Moly Mango hand cream (adorable too and smells delicious!), the I'm From Honey Mask, and that Tatcha facial sheets. Love and I mean, LOVE the I'm From Honey Mask. It's one of those masks that totally lives up to the hype. An incredible mask that leaves your face feeling calm and hydrated. I can't believe it's only $35. I also got a small pack of Tatcha facial sheets as a present, and I've never actually used their facial sheets but have only heard good things about them. Plus, I've loved everything I've tried from Tatcha so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy these when the weather gets warmer.
